Ensemble

Ensemble is an interactive installation by Architecture Social Club.

A shimmering suspended mechanical structure responds to proximity and movement; pleated paper pixels are activated in unison with the sound, expanding with more intensity and volume as the viewer moves closer to them.

Participants are encouraged to work together as digital triggers add harmonious musical layers, whilst the animations start to create new possibilities in response to the behaviour below using AI learning algorithms.

Lewis worked throughout the prototyping, fabrication and installation of the piece.
